Since her “colorful” debut in 1999, this Harlem-bred songstress continues to keep heads turning with her risk-taking tresses. We caught up with her longtime NYC hairstylist, Dickey, to get the 411 on the trendsetter’s most memorable dos over the past decade. By Bridgette Bartlett “Just look at Kelis from the start of her career, which was that kaleidoscope, rainbow hair. It’s very inspirational for me to have somebody open like her who is ready to go that creative mile. My challenge is to be able to make all those changes and still keep the hair healthy,” says Dickey, who has been styling hair for more than 20 years.

Kelis is an individual. Period. She has thought out side of the box, yet maintains a lady like attitude. I think she Shines and you can tell she doesnt care what you think anyways because she is going to be herself no matter what. And that my dears is awesome. |

Her hair is pretty, but realize she is of a different race with a different kind of hair.Therefore ,she doesn"t need to wear extensions or wigs. Don't be hard on the black females that wears them because they want the look but don't have that kind of hair. |

I've seen several models in your mag wearing a gold metallic nail polish. What brand is it and where can I get it? It looks like pure metal and I want it. I believe Keri hilson had on some silver polish in her Knock you down video. WHERE CAN I GET IT?!!! |
